From Ami's Human Parents....

"Ami is a purebred Toy Fox Terrier. We got Ami in 1992 after he was rescued from a raid
on a California puppy mill.  He was underweight, terrified, and would bite out of fear. 
We cared for "Ami" as a foster and hoped to place him in a good home. After a few months
we realized that due to the physical and mental abuse "Ami" suffered, no one would adopt
him. We have had him ever since. And for the last 13 years he has made progress, but there
are still times when he will sit in our laps and not want anyone to touch him. We love him
no matter what! And despite what he has gone through he will always be our baby!"

Ami has been voted "Pet of the Month" for February 2006 by the doctors and
staff of Lone Mountain Animal Hospital.  CONGRATULATIONS, AMI!
