Lone Mountain Animal Hospital
Pet of the Month: March 2009

"Pauli"
(Quaker Parrot)

Pauli is a Quaker Parrot that was found by his new family 4 years ago. He was an
escaped parrot, however after an exhausted search they were not able to find his
original family. He quickly adapted to life with his new family and they in turn have
learned a great deal about Quaker Parrot's. Pauli can mimic any noise that he hears
and has quite a whistle repertoire. His favorite things to say include "Hi, Baby,"
"Pretty Bird," and "Good-bye."

Recently Pauli had a traumatic injury that required 3 surgeries, hospitalization,
a little cone that he wore for several months, life in a fish tank to minimize
movement and maximize healing and a lot of tender loving care.

Throughout the ordeal, Pauli had to make many trips to Lone Mountain Animal Hospital,
including boarding while his family had to leave town. The staff made sure he was
provided with extra care so he would return to his healthy self as soon as possible.

"Pauli" has been voted "Pet of the Month" for March by the doctors
and staff of Lone Mountain Animal Hospital.  Congratulations "Pauli!!
