From Sylvester's owner:

"Sylvester came to us from the Dewey Animal Shelter in December 1998. We adopted him and
saved him from being put to sleep. Sylvester has a claim to fame after we sprang him from
Dewey. We entered him in the Litter-Maid adopt-a-cat contest in 1999 and he was one of the
12 national finalists in the contest. He did not win but we were very proud of him for being in
a nationwide contest and in the final running."

Sylvester has been voted "Pet of the Month" for September 2005 by
the doctors and staff of Lone Mountain Animal Hospital.
