Lone Mountain Animal Hospital
Pet of the Month: September 2006

"Dax" (Great Dane)

From "Dax"....

"Hi, I'm Dax! For fun I like to play in our pool and play tug with my stuffed toy at the park.
I also love to take up all the room on Mommy & Daddy's waterbed and sleep all day on
my back with legs in the air!"

"My parents say I'm "Medically Challenged" since I have heart disease, diabetes, and became
blind from cataracts. A few months ago I had a "close call". My bladder almost exploded
because I had an enlarged benign prostate. At 7 1/2 years I was neutered to help treat
this. Even though the operation was risky with my heart disease, I successfully made it
through and feel much better these days."

"My Mommy & Daddy said I taught them the true meaning of compassion, patience,
and the importance of enjoying each day as if it was your last. I'm so lucky to have them
as my guardians, but they say it is me that will forever be their Guardian Angel."

Dax has been voted "Pet of the Month" for September 2006 by the doctors and
staff of Lone Mountain Animal Hospital.  CONGRATULATIONS, DAX!
