Lone Mountain Animal Hospital
Pet of the Month: October 2004

"Booba" (Guinea Pig)

"Booba's" young owner says:

"I think that my pet guinea pig should be pet of the month because he has been through
a lot this past year.  Well, when I first saw Booba, my guinea pig, his name was S'more
and he was given to our school by a fellow classmate of mine.  He was not treated well by
his first owners nor by my classmates, so every morning before school I would go in an
hour early to give him special care.

At the end of the year they were going to adopt him away but I thought I should be the
one to take care of him so I volunteered to take him home.

Then recently my house burned down and he had to go stay with my cousin.  While he was
staying with my cousin he met a new friend...yep, a bird.  See, what my cousin did was
leave the bird's cage open and when Booba came out to eat the bird would fly down beside
him and watch him eat.  It was odd to see how they got along!

Finally it was time to take him home!  I was so excited to see him again!  Booba DOES
deserve to be pet of the month because he has had 4 homes, survived a fire, and made an
unusual friend!"

The doctors and staff at Lone Mountain Animal Hospital agree, and are proud to
announce that "Booba" has been voted "PET OF THE MONTH" for October 2004!
CONGRATULATIONS TO "BOOBA" AND HIS OWNERS!!!
