Lone Mountain Animal Hospital
Pet of the Month: November 2007

"Falcore" (Chihuahua mix)

From Koa's human parents:

"Koa" was among a litter dumped in the desert at three months of age, and later taken to
the shelter. After I walked into the adoption center, he was the first little guy I picked up.
From that moment I just knew he was the one I wanted to take home. But as soon as Koa
came home, he was sick with kennel cough and various parasites that just wouldn't go away.
He was being treated at another hospital and just not responding to the medication. After
finding him unresponsive and feverish, I came to LMAH and saw Dr. Blakesley. She ran tests
and started treating my Koa for a life-threatening pneumonia. It's been a rough road with
lots of vet visits, but Koa has made a 100% recovery and is now a happy energetic little guy.

"Koa" has been voted "Pet of the Month" for October 2007 by the doctors
and staff of Lone Mountain Animal Hospital.  Congratulations Koa!
